Thanking Hospital Custodians During COVID19

Thank you so much for your incredible support with this campaign. Please visit our new From Two Doctors Fund and FromTwoDoctors.com for more information on our next project. See below for a little more information:
Backed by the momentum of our initial campaign, we are pivoting towards our next project: we are on a mission to share the stories of people from all different professions and walks of life who have been affected by the pandemic. During uncertain times, we, as doctors, are here for the people.
Individuals will be selected from all across the country to represent the impact of coronavirus everywhere it has struck our nation. In addition to sharing their stories, we hope to provide each person we feature with a small "relief package" gift as a way of thanking them for their service to our country, as well as another way of providing support as they continue to traverse the pandemic.

Doctors and nurses get recognized for our efforts against coronavirus. Few ever mention the people who clean it up after they’re gone.
We are a group of physicians from all different specialties working on the front lines of this crisis. We are joined by janitors and custodians, who - literally - help us clean up our mess and prevent the spread of infection.
At the crack of dawn, our janitors show up smiling, offering words of encouragement, and helping us where they are needed most. They are key in our defense, and their work saves lives. Some of them have underlying health conditions, and many have families that they are working to support. They, too, are making sacrifices that are often not recognized.
During this time, we, physicians, have felt so supported by our community. We want to take this opportunity to further recognize a group that has been somewhat forgotten. Through this fundraiser, we hope to show our appreciation for the custodial staff and occupational/environmental services staff at our medical center.

More information about your donations, updated 5/2/2020, below:
All donations were used towards purchasing $100 Kroger gift cards for our custodians, also known as Environmental Management Services (EMS) staff. We received further donations directly from Starbucks for $10 gift cards and meal cards directly from Chick-Fil-A. Further, Crocs gifted a pair of Crocs, EOS gifted hand lotions, and The Sugary Cookie contributed thank you cookies to each EMS. The remaining funds were used to purchase snacks which were included in each gift bag and included gourmet popcorn from Popcornopolis, Godiva and Lindt chocolate, Fig Bars, Lara Bars, gum, chips. With the support of the union and volunteer services, we handed each of the EMS their gift bags along with gift cards and handwritten thank you notes on 5/1/2020. The EMS were incredibly grateful and it was so meaningful for us to be able to thank them for their hard work.
