The $1 Scholarship Fund - Landon Cole

My name is Landon Cole. I'm the oldest of three and I just graduated high school. My dream has always been to attend Pepperdine University. This year I applied and I got accepted!

But college is expensive. While I did get accepted, the financial aid didn't come through the way that I had hoped. I live in a single income family and I don't want to saddle my parents or myself with excessive college debt.

So I have an idea about people helping people through micro-donation funding. I'm calling it the $1 Scholarship Fund. Basically, if we could create a large enough community of people supporting people, for the price of a single cup of coffee we could fund each other's college dreams. If you can donate the change in the cupholder of your car and then send this to 3 to 5 friends then I can achieve my dreams. And maybe I can do the same thing for you!

My goal to start is just to get the money needed to get to Pepperdine for one year. Of course, I want to attend all 4 years and experience a smaller Christian university where I can thrive in a supportive and nurturing environment. Every dollar donated will go toward tuition and education expenses. Nothing else.
