The 2022 Transgender Daytime Kiki of Visibility
Tax deductible
In the last year, there have been more violent deaths in our community than ever with a mountain of national legislation trying to erase our existence. Even at the time of this writing, Florida is attempting to pass a bill that would make it illegal to mention the LGBT existence in classrooms.
At the beginning of February of this year (last week) we were looking at the upcoming calendar for the International Transgender Day of Visibility on March 31st, only to realize that there was nothing planned anywhere. Since we both have ties to the new MPJ State Park, it seemed natural that we should try to create a celebration there, as what better way to celebrate than to have a Trans-led group putting on a positive Trans-focused event on a day focused on Trans-Visibility in the only park dedicated to the Trans-experience!
Our focus is to present a positive message of the transgender population, highlighting not only the immense creativity and talents of our community, but also that our community is composed of individuals who are productive and positive, and worthy of inclusion in society.
