Tom Crean Dingle Peninsula Challenge 2023

Donation protected
Join us for an exhilarating adventure and support a great cause at The 2023 Tom Crean Dingle Peninsula Challenge! Organised by Kieran O Callaghan, Patrick O Sullivan and Daniel Bohan, this incredible fundraiser aims to raise funds for the Kerry Cancer Support Group, Down Syndrome Kerry, and other local charities.
On the 25th and 26th of August 2023, we will embark on a 24-hour journey, circumventing the stunning Dingle Peninsula through walking, kayaking, running, cycling, climbing, and swimming. But we won't be doing it alone! For the first time we will have Docusign, Salesense and Xintec on board - we are absolutely delighted that these amazing companies will join us for this extraordinary challenge.
The Kerry Cancer Support Group has been tirelessly providing transportation to cancer patients for their treatments since 2010. Down Syndrome Kerry, a parent-led organisation, works passionately to enhance the lives of children with Down syndrome. By supporting this event, you will be helping these remarkable charities make a difference in our communities.
Over the past three years, we have raised approximately €100,000 for various charitable causes. We sincerely hope that you will continue to support us on this year's adventure. Your contribution, in any way possible, is greatly appreciated, and all the funds raised will go directly to these deserving charities.
The 24-hour challenge will kick off at 10 pm on Friday, 25th August. Starting from Blennerville (Tralee), we will walk/jog the Dingle Way to Inch Beach/Annascaul Rivermouth, covering 30km. From there, we will cycle 22km to Dingle, paddle 8km in Dingle Harbor, and run 10km from Dingle to Ventry Beach. The journey continues with a 40km cycle from Ventry Beach to An Baile Breac car park, followed by a 5km climb up Mt. Brandon (963mt) and descent to the Pater Noster Lakes. After swimming the lake we descend to Faha car park before cycling 30km from Faha to Dingle Town via Fermoyle.
The challenge will culminate at 10 pm on Saturday, 26th August, after covering a total distance of 138km (85 miles). We will keep you updated on our progress throughout, and we sincerely thank you for visiting our page and supporting this worthy cause.
Join us for an unforgettable adventure and make a difference in the lives of those in need!
