The 44Teeth Dakar '22 Fund
Donation protected
44Teeth's Al Fagan and Mike 'Boothy' Booth will be competing in the world's toughest race in 2022 - the Dakar Rally - with help from one of the sport's legends, Mick Extance, who has recently setup the Mick Extance Dakar Academy. Mick will use all of his experience from eight Dakars to help a bunch of rookies race in Saudi Arabia and implement training needed to make it to the finish line.
No rider has ever finished an Isle of Man TT race and completed a Dakar, so both Fagan and Boothy will be aiming to make history in 2022.
We have some loyal sponsors who will be funding some of the journey but, as Mick reckons, raising the funds needed to compete at the Dakar is the hardest part and racing at this event isn't cheap; to cover everything from bikes and entries, to qualifying races, essential training in the dunes and having to pay for a media vehicle/crew, we'll need around £100,000 - some of which has already been covered by the aforementioned sponsors, which is why we have set the goal of £75,000. The Andalusia rally, which is a qualifying race for the Dakar, is being held in May, so we'd love to get a chunk of the funds raised beforehand.
Anyone who donates will be put into a draw to win the bikes funded by this campaign after the race. You can follow the whole journey, from concept to the race itself on 44Teeth - the UK's hottest moto media outlet.
