The 4U Foundation's 2024 Miles for MSA Run & Bike Challenge

Welcome to The 4U Foundations 5th annual Miles for MSA Run & Bike Challenge. The 4U Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to combatting Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and providing support to those impacted by it, all while promoting physical fitness. Established in 2020, our mission is centered on organizing fundraising events for MSA research, with a focus on advancing treatment studies and aiding affected families.

Our flagship event, Miles for MSA, challenges participants to push their physical limits by running 100 miles, biking 300 miles, or both, within a 30-day timeframe. Through this endeavor, we've achieved significant milestones, raising over $300,000 and collectively covering more than 10,000 miles across the nation. This year the event starts on April 18th and finishes May 18th.

The event was started in May of 2020, a short time after the Urban family received the devastating news that Jon, Austin's father, had been diagnosed with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA). The event began with Austin completing the challenge alone in the heigh of the COVID-19 pandemic and raising $15,000. In the years since has grown significantly. To date, the event has grown to over 35 participants annually, running and biking thousands of miles across the country and even in Hawaii. In its best year, 2023, Miles for MSA raised over $130,000 and has raised over $300,000 since its first year.

Please note the Final Mile event will be hosted on May 18th at the Urbans personal lake house on Copake Lake at 12:00PM. All Donors of $50 or more are welcome. Enjoy food, drinks, music, friends and of course a 1 mile walk or run on Golf Course Rd. See you there!
