The Abba House Fundraiser

Hello, my name is Anugraha. In 2019, my wife Avarie and I had a calling from God to raise money for an orphanage located in Kathmandu, Nepal. Through the generous help of friends, family and our church (and lots of prayers), we were able to raise and utilize the donated money to purchase 4 laptops, and a desktop. In addition, we were able to generate enough funds to completely renovate a previously unused rooms into a library, an IT room and a playroom. This also meant new furniture, books, and sports equipment. Finally, we also had the opportunity to take all of the children swimming and a 1/3 of them had never set foot in a pool. After accomplishing everything we had set out to do, we came back to Canada in June of 2019 and had no idea how beneficial the laptops would be as the onslaught of COVID reached its peak in early 2020. Having 5 computers was extremely beneficial for the children as all of the primary and secondary schools in Kathmandu transitioned online.

I really believe that this calling from God came at the perfect time.

Fast forward to 2023, we are FINALLY travelling back to Nepal (in 3 weeks) and staying at the very same orphanage. We are asking for your help again through either prayer, technological donations or monetary support. Currently, two of the laptops are not working anymore as a result of battery degredation so ideally I would like to replace these. And for those who do not recall this mini-mission, here's a brief background on this orphanage - It is called the Abba House and it is located in Lalitpur, Kathmandu. It provides full-time care, education, and food for children and teens ranging from the ages of 3-21. Currently there are 20 kids, half of which are under the age of 12 and all proceeds go directly to the orphanage.
