The Academy of Seminole Tornado Relief

On the evening of May 4, The Academy of Seminole (TAOS) took a direct hit by a tornado, causing significant damage to our school. As we work to rebuild, we recognize that there are a number of items that may not be covered by insurance. We are asking for your help as we aim to provide continued academic and emotional support to our students.

 

TAOS is a public charter school located in Seminole, Oklahoma. We began with just thirty ninth and tenth graders in August of 2018. In one year, we grew into a vibrant school community with over three hundred students, ranging from Pre-K to twelfth grade.

 

TAOS uniquely houses all grades on the same campus; this creates a real sense of community for students, parents, and staff. When asked, most of our students would describe their school as a family–a safe, caring space for all who call it home.

 

Together, we can ensure that our most urgent needs are met so that our students may continue to learn in an environment where they feel safe and secure.
