The After Birth Project.

A heartfelt documentary project by Regan L. Rouse & Fornever Productions.

At its core it is a compelling look at the postpartum experience. Regan Rouse, a photographer and mother with firsthand experience with postpartum anxiety, uses emotive photography, and incisive storytelling to explore the complexities of matrescence.

The After Birth Project is meant to connect people with actionable steps towards a healthy and hopeful outlook on perinatal life through community, art and education. Our goal is to shift the perceptions and conversations around postpartum mental health, ultimately making it possible for people to ask for help, receive effective care, and explore their experiences with others.

The funding collected for After Birth will go towards continuing our mission, as well as finalizing podcast production, and video hosting for the already eight recorded interviews.
