The Aftermath of a Diabetic Coma and Stroke

Donation protected
Hello everyone!I had a stroke in October of 2015 just days after my 23rd birthday and was placed on life support for three hours. This lead to me having several complications. I've also been a type one diabetic since I was 13 years old and have been battling with the issues of that. That is what they believed contributed to my stroke. However it was actually the insulin I was taking. My body was no longer responding to it. My health got better for about a year after my stroke then slowly started to decline again. Since I had my stroke, I had to put school and work on hold. This is my first time back in college since that year. After all of those things, I started having renal failure in February of 2018 and I was required to start dialysis in August of 2018. Everything just started to get worse at a very fast pace! I am a B positive blood type and I am currently in search of a kidney donor! But anyone can help or be a donor! I am forever grateful if you can! I would so greatly appreciate it! I am trying to save $500 for the surgery, for the out of pocket costs and the rest for travel fees to and from the doctor. As well as the medication I am required to take currently. I live in Greensboro, North Carolina and I am being treated within my dialysis clinic and by other local specialists as needed. I am working on being placed back on the transplant list at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Please contact me on my personal Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/deeawnuh
