THE AINSLEY NICOLE FOUNDATION
Donation protected
Hi everyone! So Booked Up is fundraising for the Ainsley Nicole Foundation - working to prevent suicide.
Ainsley was a beautiful soul, an amazing wife and mother, a loyal friend, a So Booked Up member, and so much more. We sadly lost this beautiful soul to suicide. SoBookedUp is honoring her memory by donating to the Ainsley Nicole Foundation, an organization created to help prevent suicide.
The below is a more detailed description obtained from www.theainsleynicolefoundation.com:
There is Help Available. The void Ainsley left will forever be with all of us. That void propels our work to help those like Ainsley find help and know that the world is better with them in it. Right now, we have two major projects in her memory - awareness benches and the scholarship we sponsor through the College of the Keys in Key West, Florida. Ainsley went to undergrad at the College of the Keys and it was a place she really thrived and loved. Any donations help to support these projects.
Ainsley Nicole Steel Ainsley lived a life of adventure. She was active, vivacious, smart, funny, and beautiful. While her time on earth was limited- she accomplished more in 30 years than most do in a lifetime. She moved to Key West at 18 to pursue her love of adventure, scuba diving, working on boats, and having fun! She moved on the University of Miami where she earned her bachelor’s degree. After college, she became an NFL cheerleader for the Miami dolphins and started some of her big adventures. She moved to Thailand to teach english, trekked to base camp at Mt Everest, and galloped the pyramids in Egypt to name a few. Ainsley suffered from depression and anxiety but you would never know it, she hid most of it behind her beautiful smile and fun-loving personality. Ainsley found out she was pregnant as soon as she landed back in the United States after trekking Mt Everest.
After she had her son, her depression worsened, and post partem compounded her already existing illnesses. We did not know the depth of her despair and she died by suicide in August of 2021. She left behind her 2 year old son, husband, parents, family and friends. We miss her deeply every moment of every day and our lives have all changed in the worst way possible. This work is in her memory as our goal is to help spread awareness, hope, and ensure her name is never forgotten.
