The Aldridge Family
Donation protected
On Saturday, April 29th, my stepdad went into septic shock. We have had MANY scary moments since then. Brian has been in a literal fight for his life. Once we made it through Sunday, we started to see little rays of light. A friend said it best, "Heaven's gates are shaking," with the amount of prayers that have been going up. Honestly, if it were not for those prayers that you have been sending, I do not know where we would be right now. My mother has been the true definition of a loving a faithful wife. She read the vows almost 20 years ago, and she truly meant, "in sickness and in health."
Mom has been by Brian's side through all of this. She has been there, been beside him, comforted him, loved him, helped ease his worries, and a constant rock. My family is not the kind that ever asks for help, they are givers. Years ago, through a financial struggle, they continued to give and never missed their time to tithe. Today my mother went and filed for FMLA, so she can continue to be what Brian needs during this time. Luckily, Brian has a great employer, and is covered as far as short term disability goes; however, they will be taking a loss with my mother being out of work. We are not sure how long, or what tomorrow holds. The money from this will be used to meet the out of pocket expenses, to take that burden off of them, while in the midst of this battle. My parents are still not the kind that are going to ask for financial help with all that is going on, God will provide, but this will alleviate some worries that will be coming in the future, and mom can continue to be the loving with and mother (she still has not stopped "Momming" us) that she is and has been. It will be one less worry that Brian has to worry about when he wakes up (he is going to wake up, and all of the glory has and will go to God).
We may or may not reach our goal, but anything that can help them out during this time is appreciated. What is most appreciated are your prayers. Your prayers have gotten us this far; God truly has heard our cries. There have been many lately. I have been blessed with a great family, and I would just like to help my parents out in a small way.
