Anne and Angie’s Fundraiser for Girls' Education!

Please join us in raising scholarships for 20 girl students entering high school in January 2024.

High School in Kenya is not free, and girls face unique barriers to higher education on top of the expense. Rates of forced childhood marriage, early pregnancy, female genital mutilation, and infant mortality can be cut in half when girls are fully educated.

The Kenya Education Fund is a U.S. 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to provide disadvantaged students in Kenya with support and educational scholarships so that they can improve themselves and their communities. A KEF scholarship pays for 4 years of high school and the first year of university, leading to increased enrollment, retention, and learning outcomes for girls in secondary education and ensuring them a bridge to higher education. 98% of the young people in KEF’s program successfully complete their high school exams and transition into college.

A KEF sponsorship is $1,000 per year for five years, which covers all school fees, uniforms, books, sanitary items, shoes, and room and board, and includes workshops and other supportive programs for each student.
