Queen Victoria’s Consort and The Kershaw Collection are teaming up with the wonderful visual artist Christopher Evans (also Tubist with the BBC Philharmonic) to showcase the beauty in sound, visual artistry and craftsmanship of the instruments of the 19th Century. Currently the Kershaw collection has an on line museum on the QV website and we are looking to complete this resource and add sound clips. We will also be performing a live free concert on 2nd June at Girton College, Cambridge. Christopher will be painting four original art works depicting some of the finest instruments being played by the ensemble and these will be reproduced as high quality copies to thank our supporters. We really need your help to make this project a reality, to complete what will be a wonderful on line museum and give us the opportunity to keep building on the ensembles public engagement.
