The Ayoub Family- Nicole’s OOP medical expenses

Hi, my name is Brett Steinberg and I am starting this page to raise money to assist with the out of pocket medical expenses for an upcoming procedure on June 13, 2023 for The Ayoub Family, specifically Nicole Ayoub.

Nicole Ayoub is actually my first cousin who is going to have a procedure performed by Scellig S. D. Stone, MD, PHD, FRCSV up in Boston for Temporal Lobe Resection for Epilepsy.

Over the next few weeks he will look at all the imaging and determine where he can safely make the holes to implant the wires. Based on the data from the first week he will then know what brain tissue he can safely remove and where he will cut and open her skull.

For the last few years, the seizures have come and gone due to this condition but over the last few months they have been worsening and became unbearable for Nicole and her family while she’s at Boston College, which is a leading contributor to the procedure.

A large portion of the procedure will be covered by insurance but there will still be an estimated $60,000-$70,000 of out of pocket funds needed to cover the remaining bills.

My vow to this fundraiser and you all is that I will be personally contributing $30,000 to The Ayoub Family in hopes of raising an additional $30,000.
