The Baldwin-MacNabb Family

My name is Hallie Card, and I am initiating this fundraiser for the benefit of an amazing family that has been hit with a whole lot of nasty in a short amount of time and could really use some help.

My best friend, Jolynn MacNabb, and her wonderful husband, Ken, along with her parents, Lynn and David Baldwin, and the family's cats were very recently displaced due to a house fire on one of the coldest nights of the year in upstate New York. This house fire was just the (very expensive) cherry on the turd sundae that life had been dishing out to them in the last several months.

Last August, Ken was diagnosed with lymphoma and finished his last round of chemo in December. Lynn was diagnosed with cancer in November and had major surgery on December 30 as part of her treatment. The family has been in one solid state of crisis management for quite some time.

Still recovering from surgery, Lynn was resting in part of the house and Jolynn was in the other when the furnace caught fire. By the grace of God, Jolynn was able to get the two of them and the cats to safety before the fire took its toll. Half of the house is gone, and it will be several months (at least) before they can go home.

**Quick shout out to the firefighters who worked their butts off to minimize the spread and to all who sign up for that job every day**

In the meantime, there are (many and varied) bills to be paid, plans to be made, supplies/necessities to be purchased, and health to be tended to. This is where you heroes of the internet can help. Some people have asked what they can do for the family. This is it:

A) Send prayers, love, good juju, peaceful vibes, etc.

B) Donate to help one of the nicest families in the world (and, by FAR, the nicest Bruins fans in the world).

C) Share the fundraiser.

D) All of the above, if you are able.

These are some of the best people, y'all. God's absolute best. Trust me when I tell you that what you give will not only be received with immense gratitude and humility, but that Jolynn, Ken, Lynn, David, and the kitties will be fantastic stewards of your generosity.
