- The Solas Cancer Support Service along with its centre here in Dungarvan provides the highest quality cancer support service to the people of Waterford and the South East. These services include counselling, relaxation therapies and group support services to those affected by cancer along with their families and carers. Other activities include advocating at national level with government and HSE for cancer services in the South East, promoting awareness and education around cancer, cancer prevention, recovery from cancer and health and wellbeing as well as supporting people living with cancer and their families and carers. We are grateful for the support, services and therapies provided to us during Barry's illness and treatment and their continued support in his passing.

- Waterford Hospice is where we spent our final weeks and days with Barry. A service we would have been lost without. Waterford Hospice movement provides care to patients and their families known to the South East Palliative Care Service. Both in their own homes or place of residence in the Waterford Community Care Area and in the South Eastern Palliative Care Centre. Forever grateful for the care, support, comfort and holding they provided to Barry and us and the precious time we had with Barry there. The incredible team of doctors, nurses and staff there, how safe and cared for he and we felt as family with them all. The Hayes family is also grateful for the care and comfort this service provided to their Mum Margaret in her own home. The wonderful palliative care nurses who cared so well for her during her illness and passing in September 2020. The support they gave to her family allowed her to be in the comfort of her own home in her final weeks and days. A valued and needed service in our community.

Please share this page and create as much publicity as you can for our event and these two great local services while we remember Barry on what promises to be an excellent day. Please join us on the day for some family fun and entertainment as we remember our dear friend Barry.

We welcome and appreciate any donation you can give.
