Support Sara's Family & Life-Saving Journey

Hi, this is Gail and Brett. We launched this campaign to help our dear friend cover essential life and medical expenses during a time of unprecedented hardship in her life.

On June 15th, Sara was admitted to the hospital with a spleen 3x its normal size and is now living with debilitating pain. The results from her bone marrow testing continue to baffle doctors, nonetheless, she requires urgent and life-threatening surgery (splenectomy) for what appears to be cancer. This will likely be only the beginning of her recovery journey.

Sara is a single mother (co-parenting Asa with her supportive ex-spouse, Dee) and a successful entrepreneur who is left unable to work to support her little family. She has dedicated much of her life to human rights advocacy and operating an animal rescue - let us help someone who has given so much of themself to bettering our world.

The US medical system is complex and even with great insurance, the cost to receive treatment, pay for care and cover basic necessities of life are relentless. Here’s why we know her family is worthy of your dollars:

How can I support Sara?

Doctors suspect Sara will be unable to work for at least a year. Our goal is to raise $50,000 (USD) for her over the next 3 months so her family can continue to thrive and so that she can survive. Here’s what your contributions will help cover:
