The Basile Family is in need of support. Savanna Basile is the wife of Michael Basile who is a Lieutenant/Paramedic for Sumter County Fire & EMS Department. She is also the mother of their two children. Just before the holidays, The Basile Family all caught the flu and they all went through the motions to let the flu/virus run its course. Unfortunately, Savanna Basile’s illness progressed to double pneumonia, which continued to get worse; eventually causing her to go into Septic Shock. Savanna was flown to Shands Hospital in critical condition where she is currently in the ICU on Life Support with a ventilator. She has shown some slight signs of improvement through the Christmas holiday, but she still has a long road to recovery. They are continuing to monitor her and have her connected to EEG mechines to see what kind of neurological response she has.
Please keep Savanna and the entire Basile Family in your thoughts and prays while they endure this difficult time.
