The Bauer Elizabeth Carter Fund

On Thursday July 13, 2017 Bauer Elizabeth Carter was born via emergency c-section. She weighed 7.4 pounds and was 20-1/4" long. Unfortunately Bauer was without oxygen for some time, which made her very sick. Although she fought as hard as her little body could, she took her last breath in her mommy's arms with her daddy right beside her on Saturday July 15, 2017. Joey, Katie and their families are completely heartbroken and left with the burning question of what caused this tragic outcome. In hopes of gaining insight Joey and Katie have opted to have an autopsy performed.

Many of you are asking how you can help and we felt helping them relieve some of the financial burden would be the most beneficial way to show our support. The medical bills will inevitably arrive and will be far more than originally planned for. In addition to the medical bills and the autopsy are final arrangements.

On behalf of Katie and Joey's family I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and support. They mean the world to the entire family.  We ask for continued prayer, support and respect for their privacy over the next several months as Joey and Katie move forward.
