The Bauer Family during Charlie’s next steps

Hey Y’all - My name is Mary Grace and I am fundraising to help my parents Charlette and Dave and my baby brother Charlie while he awaits further medical intervention.

As some of you may know Charlie has been hospitalized because of a sudden life changing diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. He has been hospitalized for a almost 20 days total. Within these past 20 days he has received multiple blood transfusions, many procedures, and many steroids and shots. Although there are many days there seems no light at the end of the tunnel, Charlie has kept an unearthly amount of faith and courage for whatever comes next. We are currently in the process of deciding what comes next - surgery being an option.

My mom, Charlette, has spent every day and night in the hospital with only a few hours total out of the hospital in the last almost month. She has been a source of stability and peace for Charlie, and all of us. As you can imagine, my mom has been unable to work and this has created an incredible amount of stress and dread for both of my parents and Charlie. We are not sure what the next steps are in terms of bills, food, and everyday expenses.

This lead me to this go fund me. My parents are incredibly helpful and gracious and humble people who would never imagine this as an option but I am here to ask for help for them. Whatever you can help with or give is beyond appreciated. I am hoping this bring them just a small pocket of peace in this unpredictable and, truthfully, scary time.
