Please support our friend Matt Beaver and his family.

Good day all, my name is Dustin Pelletier and I have worked alongside Matt on and off since 2019 at the Kearl Lake site north of Fort Mac. He is the safety lead for our team at Kearl and he is always the first one to be there for an incredible story or to talk hockey. In fact, he dedicates a lot of his free time refereeing the game back in Nova Scotia on days off. Matt is the first one to try and organize a "team building event" or a "meeting of the minds luncheon". This fella always seems to put others ahead of his own needs. He is an amazing family man, proud Pickleball enthusiast and all-around beauty.

Unfortunately, it's with a very heavy heart we inform you all that The Beaver family is going through an unimaginable tragedy right now. Matt’s loving wife Katelyn was in a terrible accident, and she is in the ICU in a coma. Katelyn is currently expecting their second child and although stable, it presents an even greater challenge for their family and the amazing medical staff.

Any other details will be shared in due time, as this is a very fluid situation. Being that this is so close to Christmas it only seems to compound the difficulty of this unfortunate event. Anything you or your family can spare, would be greatly appreciated. Please keep Katelyn, Matt, and the kids in your thoughts & prayers.
