Our Beloved Ninfa Agamez and Alfredo Sarmiento

My name is Steven, I'm a son, husband, and father. I'm reaching out today as my family has experienced a major tragedy. Losing a parent or loved one is never easy. For many of us, we have the time to cherish the memories and time with loved ones as they leave this earth. Sadly, there are times when loved ones leave abruptly.

Who were they:

Ninfa was a strong woman. Proud and protective of her children. Raising her children in Colombia, she sacrificed much to ensure all of her children had what they needed to be successful in school and life. She maintained faith in Jesus Christ and prayed over her children and grandchildren. She was hard to win over at first when I first started dating my wife, but once she realized I was here to stay, she opened her arms wide and welcomed me.

Alfredo was a loving son. Passionate in his pursuits to make his life better in Colombia and take care of his mother Ninfa. He was a loving and caring uncle, who had begun to turn his life around after continued hardship. He cared deeply and was very proud of his sisters and family who had made it in America.

Both Ninfa and Alfredo did not have much to their name, as much of the family was sending money back home to help support the daily living expenses, heat, water, shelter, and food.

The Tragedy:

On the week of Jan 19, both Ninfa and Alfredo were found murdered in their home located in Santa Marta, Colombia. Local Authorities are still actively investigating and searching for the criminals who took the lives of two wonderful people. As details of the murder continue to come in, we ask the help of the GoFundMe community to help celebrate the lives of a loving grandmother and uncle appropriately.

All funds will be used to offset the expenses related to travel, funeral, and any remaining expenses for the grieving family of Ninfa and Alfredo.
