The Belvidere Capitol Campaign

The Belvidere Foundation is in the process of organizing a capitol campaign. During 2023, we accomplished a lot by restoring the facade and completing asbestos removal. Both were major projects and important to achieving our long-term goals. We are very excited about the progress we made but much still needs to be done. We are so grateful for the community support we have received and the personal donations that were made gave us an operating budget and the opportunity to leverage these funds to apply for major grants. We are working towards the next phase, the first will be the restoration of the Shoo Fly or Wisebart Hall. The goal is to complete this by early 2025 and for it to be a functional restaurant. After that will come the exciting part--restoration of the beautiful theater itself. Our capitol campaign will work to fund-raise in a big way by grant writing and soliciting major donors. For these efforts, donations large and small mean a lot and we are asking for the public's continuing support and we can't wait to have the first performance in the beautiful Belvidere Theatre!!
