The Betty & Edna Mountain Climb

Meet Nick (AKA Betty) & Karl (AKA Edna), both proud employees of Alliance Healthcare, Swansea. We are just two ordinary ladies wanting to volunteer our spare time by climbing Pen Y fan, which is the highest peak within South Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres above sea level, it is the highest British peak south of the Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

Our aim is to reach the summit on Saturday the 29th April 2023, appropriately dressed as old dears whilst accessorised to the hilt......with a few handbags thrown in for good measure!

All this seems too easy, so, just to add further flare to the challenge, we have decided to carry a 16 KG fridge box with an additional 19 KG worth of cool blocks.........just to keep our beers/false teeth cool!

Just to be clear, that's a whopping total weight of 35 KG, fully dressed in ladies clothing, hair & glasses to match, climbing a rather large mountain!
