The Betty White Memorial Piggy Paradise

Who are we?
Jacobs Ridge is an animal sanctuary in Spain, home to over 150 rescue animals.

 
What are we fundraising for?
As you may know, the American actress and animal rights campaigner, Betty White, passed away on 31st December, at the age of 99 years.

 

To honour her memory, the public are being asked to donate to animal sanctuaries on 17th January, which would have been Betty’s 100th birthday.

 

At Jacobs Ridge, we would like to commemorate the wonderful life and work of Betty White by fundraising for a new separate run and shelters for our older pig residents, and by naming one of our younger pigs Betty too.

 

As some of our pigs get older, they require a different diet, more food and more tranquility than an enclosure with the younger pigs can offer them.

This new enclosure will be built once the purchase of the property is finalised and will be complete with fruit trees for shade and food, weatherproof shelters, strong durable fencing and a plaque to commemorate Betty White.

 

So, from 11th January we are hoping to raise £5000 ($6786) to enable this to happen.
