The Big Ben Nevis Christmas fundraiser

Would you like to join us in making a difference? Torsten age 6 along with his cousins Jack and Alfie age 10 are raising money in aid of Hidden Treasure Trust (The Hideaway & The Hope Centre) and every donation will help. We plan to climb Ben Nevis in August and your sponsorship will help us reach our target.

The Hideaway has always been a big part in our lives, weekly play sessions and meeting friends for coffee and cake! But The Hideaway isn’t just a play centre, it’s a not-for -profit community group. It helps people who are struggling with bills, prepares hot meals to be delivered. Helps parents with school uniform and has even started a community food shop. We want to give something back to say thank you for everything they do within the community. Last year we raised lots of money to help buy toys for food banks in Manchester which was a huge success. This year we want to help The Hideaway with their ‘Hope Centre’ below is what they have asked for help with!

1. To provide families with toys at Christmas, for Mum's and Dad's that otherwise couldn't afford them for their children. Help with fundraising would be amazing and would provide a great deal of toys and love for many families.

2. Christmas Day meal for families, who otherwise couldn't afford one. A full Christmas Day meal for a family is £30, help with this would be amazing and bring a lot of relief and happiness on Christmas Day to many.

Torsten is an experienced walker, safely completing Snowdon age 4 for RMCH he is very excited about his new challenge and he hopes to raise enough to help his community this Christmas.

Why are you fundraising for Christmas now?

Fundraising mid year helps charities budget their money better as they can shop better deals, rather than the money being released during a Christmas rush. Also August is safer to climb Ben Nevis than in the cooler winter months.

Who will benefit from the donations?

The money goes directly to the charity. The support is available to all families known to The Hideaway or passed through local authorities.
