The Bigue's need our support!

Many of you know Dominic Bigue as a loving, funny, adventuresome, and charismatic husband, father, brother, son and friend. Others know ‘Mr. Bigue’, as the hard-working, caring, and highly engaged Assistant Principal at Burlingame High School. Regardless of the path we have come to know Dom, we all connect with him because of his vivacious spirit and kind smile.
Until last weekend, Dom had always led a very active life. However, on Saturday, October 1st, 2022, Dom’s love for the outdoors was met with a traumatic mountain biking accident in Lake Tahoe. He was immediately airlifted to the trauma unit at Renown Hospital in Reno, where they determined that he had suffered a potentially life-altering injury.
The following day, Dom underwent a major surgical procedure to stabilize his injuries. Upon his discharge from Renown, Dom will be transferred to Santa Clara Valley Regional Hospital (SCVMC) to begin his intermediate-term care and rehabilitation program. SCVMC is a Level 1 trauma center specializing in the intensive rehabilitation and care that will offer Dom the best chance to fully recover from his serious injuries and potentially regain mobility in his hands, legs, and feet in the long term.
After extensive therapy at SCVMC, Dom will return home and continue daily outpatient rehabilitation. For him to return home, the family will have to make modifications and retrofits to their house for him to be able to perform daily activities independently.
Unfortunately, SCVMC is out-of-network under Dom’s medical plan. There will be costs with accommodating Dom for his in-home recovery, including medical expenses incurred if not covered by his insurance, and any future rehabilitation and care.
The thought of all of these expenses would be daunting to anyone in this situation, so we are asking for donations to support them through this most trying time. All donations will go toward short and long term care expenses to assist Dom along his arduous path toward recovery.
There is hope for Dom to regain his mobility in the long term, and this is where these specialized care services become essential. If someone is going to overcome these challenging and unimaginable circumstances, it's Dominic Bigue. His work ethic and the love from his wife, Christa, and his daughters, Genevieve and Margo, will get him through this difficult recovery process.
Your prayers and caring donations will allow Dom and his family to put their minds toward his recovery and help minimize the additional stress of these substantial financial burdens. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and for those not in a position to assist monetarily, your prayers and thoughts will also provide unimaginable support!
