The Book by Candy Rentz

This sweet gem is Candy Rentz (left). For several years, Candy has been waiting for help to publish her book and testimony.
As we sat with our monthly support group, Where the Heart Heals, I saw the beauty of Candy's story as she shared with our board member and friend, Jan Thompson. Jan is a licensed counselor.
Jan had returned from a camp for foster kids and was still processing the week's faces and individual pain of each kid she met. It was heavy on her heart. Sitting next to her was Candy who began to share her story of abuse as a child and her experience in the foster care system.
The story is a painful one to hear but Candy is quick to point out how Jesus was with her every moment and how now she believes her story can help others who have lost hope. There were people who came along and gave her hope also during the trials.
As we pondered the meeting the next day, we felt Candy's book could be a tool for counselors and could offer a beautiful hope to foster kids who may find themselves in a system that often lends to hopelessness and even more abuse.
So, we found a Christ centered publisher, Full Circle Publishing, (a sweet friend of Shelly Wilson Ministries) who is more than thrilled to help get Candy's book edited, completed, and available for print in the next couple of months.
We are now raising the funds to do so on behalf of Candy. Not because she asked us to, but because we feel called to bring forward that which Christ has placed within her to help others.
Shelly Wilson Ministries will be facilitating the fundraising allowing your donations to be tax deductible by the IRS. SWM is a 501C3 Non profit organization.
Would you join us in an amazing birthing process of something that will be life changing to many hearts in need.
Sincerely,
Shelly Wilson
