The Boron Family- Hopes Medical Journey
Donation protected
Hi, our names are Ken and Angie Foster and we have created this page as a way for friends, family and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to support and stay updated on the journey that the Boron family is on with their newest little addition, Hope.
Hope is a beautiful and very unexpected surprise to her parents and siblings but one that brought GREAT joy and excitement. Early on in their pregnancy it was discovered that Hope had a heart condition.
She was born with a tetralogy of fallot, which is a condition where the wall between the 2 bottom ventricles does not develop allowing the aorta to move over and shrink the pulmonary artery causing lack of blood flow to the lunch. It is the most common of congenital heart defects, but needs a full open heart procedure with bypass to fix. With this condition some babies are considered pink and able to make it 4-6 months without intervention by a surgeon. Hope was classified as blue meaning she would need intervention in order to try and make it that long. She had a stent put into her PDA at 2 1/2 weeks old and that was supposed to help her make it to 6 months old before her repair, but with in only 2 months it started to narrow. The older she is the better her outcome so they gave her beta blockers and a blood transfusion which seem to have helped her turn the corner and hopefully able to allow to grow to 4 months old before her full repair and open heart procedure.
Rob and Cassie have spent all of their lives coaching, educating, leading, and loving others while serving God. Our hope is that if they have touched your life in some way you will be able to show your care by supporting them first and foremost in prayer. God is the ultimate healer and the creator of all things and we know that when Hope was knit together in Cassie's womb God already had big plans for her.
In addition to your daily prayer support would you also consider helping to lighten the financial strains that come with having a medically fragile child going through treatment? Donations will be used to help cover an uncovered medical expenses, extra travel back and forth to the Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, lodging for mom and dad when none is available through the hospital services, care for their older children Maddi, RJ and Gabe, meals on the go and much needed quality family time when they have the opportunity to have it.
If you would like to send a message of encouragement to Hope and her family by way of a card or personal message you can mail those to: 1165 Haskins Rd Bowling Green Ohio 43402 Attention Boron Family and they will be sure to be delivered.
