The Botti Family

We are here to ask for help today for The Botti Family. My cousin Brittany's husband, Steve Botti, is currently in the ICU at Savannah Memorial Hospital fighting for his life. After hesitating for a couple days we have decided to make this GoFundMe page to try to help take some stress off of Brittany so she can focus on Steve's health and the wellbeing of Evelyn and Alexander.

Steve was taken to the emergency room Thursday, January 11th with flu like symptoms and difficulty breathing, his oxygen level was at 77 when he arrived and he was diagnosed with the flu and pneumonia then admitted to the ICU at Coastal Carolina Hospital. That night we found out he was septic and they had him on BiPap to help him breathe. Saturday, January 13th he was put on a ventilator because the BiPap was not enough to help him. He then had to be transferred to Hilton Head Hospital on Monday, January 15th for a bronchoscopy which he was too sick to receive. He finally was transferred to Savannah Memorial ICU on Thursday, January 18th where he is currently on the ventilator, ECMO, and dialysis and receiving around the clock care by the specialists he needs to get well.

We are not losing hope or faith, and we ask that you all continue to pray for Steve's recovery, as well as the well being of Brittany, Evelyn, and Alexander during this difficult time.

We are sharing this GoFundMe to help Brittany cover expenses for every day life at this moment. She is the director of PlayCare at Lord of Life Church in Bluffton and is currently not working as she is focusing on her family. Also, Steve unfortunately does not qualify for FMLA through his job. We just want to help her cover gas, groceries/food while traveling to the hospital, and bills coming up.
