Paul's Story

Hello, my name is Brenda; I am a nurse and colleague of Jen Bradley. I have only known Jen a short time but I feel compelled to try and help her family raise funds for her husband Paul.

Paul and Jen have two children, Chris and Emma. Just weeks before Christmas, the family was blindsided with a devastating diagnosis for Paul-Inoperable Grade 4

Glioblastoma Brain Cancer. Paul's cancer is very aggressive and the Oncology Dept. at MGH has told them the standard treatment will not penetrate the form of cancer he has. Paul will have to go through clinical trials to try and battle this horrific and fast moving cancer.

Paul will struggle to be able to continue working to support his family while undergoing his treatments. His wife Jen has a heart problem as well and works as a nurse as much as she can. For Paul cancer not only takes a toll on his physical and emotional health but can pose a huge financial challenge for him and his family.

It is heartbreaking to hear how they had to explain to their son-Chris 10, and daughter Emma 11, that their dad-44, is fighting for his life as well as theirs.

This young family has many friends and loved ones in the community. Chris is a big time" hockey goalie in his league, and Emma has many friends in school. They will need help financially to support the family and pay the medical costs.
