To know Angela was to love her. She was an exceptional mom and wife, the matriarch of their little attachment parenting, peaceful parenting, homeschooling family, the glue that held all the things together.
For 11 years, Angela couldn't quite explain why she felt so strongly called to have another child, but she trusted that calling and devoted herself to making it happen.
And it did!
Her pregnancy was a special kind of miracle that she was grateful for every moment.
No one anticipated losing her during the birth of the child she worked so hard to bring into this world. It is a special kind of heart-wrenching.
Her sweet husband is now facing single fatherhood with a newborn and two grieving young teenage boys, in addition to the loss of the light of his life and life partner.
And their friends and family are determined to make sure he doesn't do it alone. Most of us live across the country, so we are arranging local support for him, in terms of food delivery, breastmilk donations, a postpartum doula that specializes in bereavement, supplies, delegating tasks, and unforeseeable costs and expenses.
There isn't really a cap on the amount of money that can support a family in this situation. Just know that every dollar is heart-movingly appreciated and is being used to support this family as they get through this time and learn how to do everything this new life requires of them.
