Hope in the absence of Hope.
In the early hours of Monday June 15th the Briones family home was destroyed in a fire. They are not only displaced permanently with no belongings or residence to return to. The youngest, Adeline Hope (12) was caught in the flames and suffered severe smoke inhalation and other injuries. She was flown from Killeen to Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin where doctors and nurses did everything they could while her family surrounded her praying for her recovery.
After three long days of fighting, Hope passed away on June 17th 2020
Hope was a beacon of love and light in this dark world and was taken too soon.
Hope loved to draw and write stories in her spare time. She loved to spread love and joy in whatever she did. Just days ago she begged her mom to let her make the nearly 2 mile walk to school everyday to “make new friends” at her new middle school in the fall. She was an innocent kind soul that has left a huge void in everyone’s life who knew her.
Nothing will ever replace Hope’s absence but in this time of grief the Briones family is left to pick up the pieces. They are left without a home, clothes, food, Etc. All basic necessities and family belongings were lost in the fire.
All funds will go towards helping the Briones family find housing, cover funeral costs, medical bills, and gain a sense of normalcy in this incredibly difficult time.
