The Brown-Fuller (Star Hotel) Memorial Park
Donation protected
The members of the Bellows Falls Fire Department are excited to share an artist rendering of the proposed memorial for fallen firefighters Terry Brown and Dana Fuller. Brown and Fuller lost their lives while searching the building for occupants at the Star Hotel on December 29, 1981.
Currently, two benches donated by the Lion’s Club mark the site of the tragedy. The two benches are a great start to a wonderful memorial however, they do not tell the full story of that tragic night. We are approaching the 40th anniversary, and as such, want to complete the memorial.
Fundraising for the project kicked off last Fall, with a spin ride at Flex Fitness that raised $6,500. Construction will be starting this spring, the goal is to have the memorial open later this year. If you are able and willing to contribute to this project, every penny makes a difference.
