The Bulkington Xmas light switch on event

The Christmas Lights Switch on Event is an important date in the Bulkington callander and it has a long tradition in the village of bringing the community together to celebrate the launch of the Christmas Season and has created many fond memories for generations of local children.

This year the council has seen fit to cancel the event and spend the budget elsewhere in the Borough, but we residents are determined not to loose this treasured event but to deliver it as a community, but to do so we need to raise at least £4,500.

We are organising a constituted committee to deliver the event and in the meantime the Volunteer Friends charity has kindly offered to hold the finances raised for us whilst we are setting everything up for complete visibility and accountability.
