I am Ayla, and we are "The Dingo PACK-t"!! We are a close knit dingo family, with grand ambitions to increase our pack by up to 50 rescued/displaced dingoes!!
...And to do so, we need your help to raise money for the purchase of a large acreage in mid-northern NSW, so that we will all have plenty of space to sniff, play, frolic and wander about as we please... as such a beautiful Australian icon should!!
It is estimated that 5 out of every 10 dingoes taken on as pets in Australia, are relinquished to rescue organisations in the first year of their lives... and roughly 4 of those 5 dingoes will be euthanised! The statistics don't improve with older animals, and so it is believed that probably ONLY 1 in 10 dingoes that are either bred as pets, or taken from the wild due to injury, or orphancy, will find a happy and stable home.
But there’s MORE to the problem...
While other rescue organisations across Australia are doing a great job to rehabilitate and rehome displaced dingoes, facilities in which to house them are often cramped, and do not support the complex emotional, social and environmental needs of such a special animal.
What WE intend to do about it...
It is our mission to create a peaceful oasis, to break the cycle of displacement for these beautiful spirit creatures, where they can live as a wild dingo would... formulating their own packs, consuming a natural diet and roaming the land, as they have been doing for millenia.
Our vision is to create a spacious bush haven, that is fully fenced to keep our extended “Dingo PACK-t” safe, whilst being expansive enough, so that we can all live free, happy and fulfilled lives.... a sort of retirement village for dingoes.
