At the very beginning of this journey, a wise doctor told us that things would move very fast and then very slow. And wow has that been true! Let’s start with our medical update! Since our last update, Josiah completed the first round of radiation on his brain with minimal side effects! Praise God! He also started immunotherapy in May but has only been able to have one treatment so far. His liver counts have been off since the beginning of this journey but got substantially worse following his initial round of treatment. We were able to visit with a specialist at Fred Hutch who recommended new scans and a liver biopsy to see if we can understand why his liver is struggling. Liver biopsy shows no cancer in his liver (great news!!) but still no clear reason for the elevated blood work. The new scans showed some cancer advancement but also gave us more insight into where we need to target. Josiah completed the second round of radiation on his front sinus last week and we await the advice of our doctors on the next steps for his liver and immunotherapy. In the midst of this, we continue to also work with our naturopath to provide alternative treatment options, and support Josiah’s immune system with targeted natural treatments (through supplements and juicing!). He has not yet been able to return to work, but we are believing the tide will change soon and he will gain strength and energy.

More importantly, from the spiritual side, we continue to believe that Josiah’s story is far from over and for COMPLETE healing over his body. We are asking for our friends and family to continue contending for and standing with us in this fight. A few targeted things to pray for:

Supernatural Strength & Rest - for the whole family

Provision - medical, financial

Protection during treatment. Josiah has the DNA of Christ. His blood runs through Josiah’s veins. God has created the perfect treatment plan for Josiah’s needs through the great care of physicians. Let only the infected cells be eradicated. Protect the healthy cells.

Divine Appointments - we continue to be amazed by God’s work in the right connections at the right time.

Update:

We are so moved by the love and generosity you have shown in this season. We feel your love and prayers. We see miracles every day in this journey. We see His beauty even in this valley. Lillies grow in the valley and He cares for them. God has shown His faithfulness and been so near to us.

We would love it if you will join us in thanking God for His great care, for keeping Josiah and his family close to His heart, for provision (medical and financial), and the healing He is already at work performing in Josiah’s body. He’s already won!

We also treasure your prayer support as the journey of the healing process is just beginning. Josiah begins treatment this week and Sarah is balancing caring for him and working full time.

Josiah and Sarah also have a need for meals in this time. Please help them out if you’re able. Sarah is working full tim and Josiah is beginning treatment. With a little one, there is not much time for other things. ❤️

Friends and Family-

Thank you for the generous love, prayers, and support you have shown our family over the last few days. Josiah is a warrior!! God has already shown His faithfulness and great care for us even in this short amount of time. For those who may be hearing this for the first time, I will share Josiah's story below.

Josiah's Story from his perspective:

****Family and friends, thank you for your prayers and kind words. This weekend was quite a shock to me and my family as I found the culprit of the migraines that have plagued me for the past 2 months. Visiting the ER on Saturday I received a CT scan on my head that revealed a golf ball-sized tumor behind my right eye. The ER team found me a surgeon at Virginia Medical in Seattle. And they took me by ambulance to Seattle for emergency surgery. The surgery went well. And I have retained all normal functions.****

Please continue praying and believing for a FULL recovery. There is still a journey with milestones to overcome. But GOD! We are keeping our focus on Him. His ways are higher!

Many of you have also asked about supporting the family financially. For this reason, we have created this GoFundMe account to expedite funds for medical support to Josiah and Sarah.
