Tara's 5k for The Cat House Rescue, Bradford

I am doing it again! A 5k halloween themed running event. Challenge accepted. I mean who wouldn't want to see a 40 something (cough, cough), Mackem, honing her inner cat lady, lumbering along the Leeds canal, hoping she doesn't injure herself or die. There is a very real possibility. Should I do either the ambulance/A&E/body bag photos would be hilarious.

This time I am running for another very special and worthy cause. The Cat House, Bradford. Every donation they receive goes straight to cat food, vet bills and saving for cat pen investment. They recently invested in some pens which they have discovered are not fit for purpose and the supplier is not willing to rectify the problems. A huge loss for the charity who are helped by selfless volunteers. The volunteers not only give their own time but also use their own resources to collect cats and kittens in danger, ferry them to vets appointments and to there forever homes. A huge feat for a very small committed team.

I am giving a tiny bit of my time. Look at me....that's worth at least a 50p donation. If all of the charity followers and my friends donated 50p the charity would be 1k+ better off. If everyone donated £1 the charity would be 2k+ better off. What can you get for a pound these days with the current inflation rates you wouldn't even get a 10p mix up!
