The Celebration of Bonnie Dye
Bonnie M Dye, 57, of Beech Island, South Carolina, fought hard until April 15th, 2021 at Select Specialty Hospital, with her daughter at her side.
After multiple consultations and appointments in preparation for a surgical operation, Bonnie suffered a stroke during the intraoperative phase. She spent five weeks in a hospital room before being transferred to a specialty hospital. She spent two weeks at Select and was expected to be transferred to a rehab facility. One day, only 24 hours prior to Bonnies transfer, she went into cardiac arrest. While the medical team was able to revive Bonnie, after two and a half hours, despite an extremely hard-fought battle, Bonnie was unable to recover. Bonnie’s passing was tragically unexpected.
This will be a celebration of a women who lived her life with enthusiasm and perseverance. Bonnie enjoyed the ocean, the moon, and music.
Bonnie has donated her body to science. Bonnie made this decision to make a positive impact on future generations by allowing the study of her rare genetic disease Moya Moya in hopes that it can prevent suffering for others in the future.
We are asking for any donations, nothing is too small, funds will go towards memorial expenses, medical expenses and the remaining funds will be used to handle her affairs. Family and friends are grateful for your thoughts and prayers.
