School Supplies for Ghanaian Children

Hi, my name is Maddie Morrison and I’ve been in Anloga, Ghana (a small African city) doing service work for the last couple of weeks. While here, I have had the chance to teach and bond with the most amazing kids at the local schools and on the nearby island.

Unfortunately, many of the families of these kids struggle to afford an education for their children, much less pay for their school supplies. This means the kids who are more excited to learn than anyone I have ever met do not have pencils, notebooks, or money to eat during the school day. At no fault of their own, these kids cannot keep up with the class curriculum and inevitably fall through the cracks. In addition to the lack of books, pens, and paper, they have often only have one school uniform worn to pieces and no money for vital sanitary products.

This leads me to ask for your help in funding the collection of school supplies and period products to improve the lives of these children and their families.
