The Cindy Diamond Memorial Fund

On December 23rd 2018 I lost my best friend Cindy Diamond to suicide at the age of 33. We went through all the ups and downs of growing up together - from learning to swim together, teaching each other languages, late nights camping on her trampoline, spending our summers outside in her backyard with countless orders of pizza, bbq chicken and movie rentals. From house parties, bad haircuts, questionable fashion choices, successful and unsuccessful matchmaking sessions, to growing into real adults with real responsibilities and endless conversations about adulthood, Cindy was my my best friend and felt like the sister I never had. We were there for each other's darkest and brightest moments. She was my non-judgmental go to friend for anything.  She was beautiful, smart and had a smile that was so incredibly contagious. She had the biggest and kindest of hearts and empathetic and compassionate beyond words. Sadly Cindy lost her battle with depression in which she had dealt with for many years in spite of the full support of her family and friends. This GoFundMe is intended to assist the Diamond Family, Mario, Celine and Jany to get through this unspeakable tragedy. Cindy will always remain in our hearts and will be incredibly missed because she was so loved. All funds will be withdrawn by Graham MacLachlan and a final check will be given to Cindy Diamond's family (Mario Diamond).
