The Cliff Hotel Employee Fund

Firstly, we would like to thank everybody for the outpouring of love, support and prayers that we received. Words cannot express how grateful we are.
 
As you know, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, governments all over the World imposed strict travel, quarantine and curfew restrictions to protect the health and well-being of their citizens and residents.
As a result, we were forced to temporarily close The Cliff Hotel. 
 
Initially, we hoped the suspension of operations would be short-term; therefore, we did not terminate any of our staff members and have continued to provide minimum compensation and health care insurance. Those of you who have stayed or dined with us know that the very essence of The Cliff Hotel spirit radiates from the smiling heart and soul of each housekeeper, front desk agent, gardener, pool attendant, bartender, security guard, cook, server, and managers. Seen or unseen, they are the magic that makes Jamaica such a beautiful place.
 
Since it has become apparent that ongoing air travel and extended stay-at-home restrictions and social distancing policies all over the World will result in the hotel remaining closed much longer than anticipated, we are exploring additional avenues in order to continue to provide financial assistance to our staff to ensure that they manage, as best as possible, the financial hardship that this crisis has caused. To this end, we have established this GoFundMe campaign. 

Many of you have asked how you can help, so if there is anything you can contribute to the GoFundMe campaign know that it will be truly appreciated. Any and all contributions will be used solely for the benefit and support of staff members.
