The Clive Winder Memorial Fund

In the early hours of Saturday morning on March 28th dad suffered a cardiac arrest due to Covid-19 infection. We are still very much in shock from our unexpected and tragic loss, and remain very much confused by the situation we find ourselves in. We can’t currently see beyond the pain we are in, but as we move through each day without dad we count ourselves incredibly lucky to have had him.

Dad was the absolute light of our lives, he gave so much to others and he will be missed by so many. His kindness was abundant, his generosity never faltered and his warming presence was felt by everyone he met. We will treasure him completely and celebrate the life he led in any way we can, in the hope that someday the love we have for him will outweigh the emptiness we feel having lost him.

We have been overwhelmed by the love and support we have received, and we cannot thank people enough for their cards, messages, flowers, food packages and comforting words. 

We have set up this memorial fund in dad’s name and welcome any donations. At this time, money will be split equally between the Unicef Coronavirus Appeal and two charities close to dad’s heart – SSNAP (Supporting the Sick Newborn and their Parents) and Alzheimer’s Society.
