The Colberg Family

When someone is diagnosed with cancer the future becomes very scary and unknown to the person as well as to their whole family.  As many of you already know, this is the current reality for Bill Colberg, his wife Shannon and their 4 amazing kids....Madison, Hannah,
Caden and Sammie.  If you know Bill Colberg you’ll know that he is a very hard worker and the primary financial provider for their family.  He is committed to his career and puts in long hours, often 6 days a week.  He also commutes an hour to two hours both ways to and from work.  Bill never complains and would be the last person to ever ask for help.  At this time he’s continuing to work every day... despite his recent diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer.  But his upcoming treatments will obviously force him to miss an unforeseen amount of work.  In his line of work he has no sick leave.

I have been a close friend of Bill and Shannon’s for the past 25 years.....Like many of you I love and adore the whole family and my heart and head wishes there was something....well anything I could do to take some of the weight off of their shoulders and fear from their minds.  And there is!  This Go Fund Me is being set up in order to relieve some of the pressure that the weeks/months that follow will undoubtedly be endured by the Colberg family.  The money will be used to help the Colbergs with medical bills, living expenses, and anything else they need in order to get through this extremely difficult time.  If you are able, please consider donating.  Donations can be made in any amount and can be made anonymously if preferred.

Let’s do our part to help lift any future financial worries or concerns from the Colberg families plate!  There is no question they would do exactly the same for any of their friends or family in a similar situation.

Timeline of events:
December 24, 2020 diagnosis of colorectal cancer. There was also a mass on his lung at that time requiring a PET scan.  They received the results of his PET scan this morning (January 11th) and the spot on his lung is
also cancer (needle biopsy on Friday to confirm).

Bill will start chemo next week for the next three months. Colorectal surgery will be
after that, and then the lung will be dealt with after that.
