The Community Lab Initiative CIC - Help Ukrainian families

Donation protected
The Community Lab Initiative CIC is a not-for-profit company aimed at nurturing and showcasing Ukrainian skills and talents in Lincolnshire. We currently operate a community group in Sleaford and are developing projects and initiatives focused on enhancing our community's financial wellbeing. Our current projects include upskilling, seeking work experience and meaningful job opportunities for Ukrainian professionals, developing a market stall project, as well as community workshops taught by our artists and makers.
There are extremely talented people all across the UK that have come from Ukraine that are working lower paid and less qualified jobs than they would be in Ukraine purely because their qualifications are not transferable or the do not have the English skills. We are working to change these things for the better. This benefits the UK economy and skills markets and empowers people to become more...... As a new company we have started with those in Our own community but we hope to grow and be able to offer support to other Ukrainian hubs and communities over time... Firstly we need more funding!!
Our jobs are a defining part of who we are. This is as much a part of our identity as our name. When that job is lost of like Ukrainian people, we are left with no choice but to change our role, we lose a small part of ourselves. It is important to us to offer hope... hope for more and the hope to become more. Even if it is not the same career path as they may have been on before, these highly skilled people have more to offer than being left with lower paid employment.
We are also helping to support the International Support for Ukraine group leaders Andrew and Olga to collect, transport and distribute aid across Ukraine to those most in need. We collect aid and monetary donations to help support their life saving efforts.
