The Crabtree Medical Journey

Most of us from the Holton/Muskegon area are familiar with the Crabtree Family; whether you’ve known Amanda your whole life, fished with Rob, or run into one of their 11 children and countless grandchildren, they are friends. We know their family is no secret to hardship and struggle, but they are always positive, uplifting, and supportive of others.  The matriarch of the family, Amanda, who works her tail off and keeps everything moving, has liver disease and autoimmune issues and has struggled in and out of the hospital herself and is always there for others.  This past fall, their youngest daughter, Addy, was diagnosed with Chari Malformation I and had surgery and spent weeks in Devos is still in full-time therapy and needs full-time care
And Amanda lost her job durning this time. Another daughter, Hallee, is fighting thyroid cancer, and Amanda and Rob often help with their four children.  With all this hustle and bustle, you lose track of yourself. Rob worked hard to make ends meet as the primary income source and keep the family going. At the same time, Amanda kept track of hospital visits and therapies for Addy and her grandchildren while working when able. Recently, Rob has been struggling with pain in his chest and his ability even to walk 50 yards.  He finally went in last week and was checked out to be admitted at Trinity Health on 4/17/24.  He will have a quadruple bypass on Friday, April 19.  He will be in the ICU for a couple of days, work in a step-down unit, and go to rehab if necessary.   All of this being said last year has put a tremendous financial strain on the Crabtree family, and it won't get easier.  Please share, donate, and comment as much as possible and give this family the boost they need to get through this time.  Rob and Amanda are both people who will give you the shirt off their back and do everything to make sure a friend in need is cared for.  Let us show them the same love and support.
