The Crandall Family Infertility Journey
Donation protected
When we're younger, many of us picture what our lives will be like when we grow up. We imagine we will probably go to college or find a job after high school and maybe date/find our special someone. After that comes marriage and kids. That is the "typical" path many of us "plan" or dream of taking. That is what Amy and Jason Crandall hoped for. Don't get me wrong, life has definitely blessed them...except with the one thing they have wanted forever...to be parents.
Let me introduce myself! I'm Melissa Cutshall, Amy's aunt. I have seen them through this incredibly emotional and heartbreaking journey. A 5 year journey that they never imagined having to take. They have come to their last option, IVF. Success rates tend to be higher than other treatments; but at a extremely high cost. $15,000-$30,000 PER cycle.
Amy & Jason's story
These two went to high school together and after high school, they decided to date. Clearly, that went well! Amy is a Registered Nurse on a medical surgical floor and Jason works as a Shipping Clerk at Wisconsin Built They are so loved by everyone around them. In August 2019, they became Mr. & Mrs. Crandall. They started trying shortly after the wedding in September 2019. After about a year of trying, Amy found out she was pregnant. Then December 2020, had her first miscarriage. They were devastated but didn't lose hope. Following healing from her miscarriage, she was given the ok to start trying again--with no success. Month after month of negative pregnancy tests. Their journey has come with: Unsuccessful medicated treatments & failed IUI attempts,
bloodwork, multiple tests, ultrasounds, appointments, procedures, thousands of dollars already spent.
DIAGNOSIS: Unexplained fertility.
IVF is truly their last effort. Amy has done hours of research, looking for answers and options. When she confided in me about this last option that comes with a very high financial burden, there was no doubt in my mind that I wanted to help this most deserving couple. If I had the money, I would happily give it to them. But I don't. So the next best thing I can do as her aunt, is to reach out to all of you and ask that we bless this couple! When I say they are two of the most deserving people, I say that from the bottom of my heart!
All funds will go to Amy & Jason for anything related to IVF. Thank you all! I truly am praying for a miracle for these two. I love them both very much!
