The D'Amico family

Hi, my name is Crystal I am fundraising for my dear sweet friend Maria D’Amico and her wonderful family.

Their lives drastically changed last October when her husband Joel started to became very Ill and eventually was unable to work. As time went on he became more and more sick and was diagnosed with Advanced Liver Disease along with several other diagnosis that go hand and hand with liver disease. She instantly became the family’s sole provider responsible for taking care of everything financially as well as the home, kids, and trying to continue to work and be his caretaker so that when he isn’t in the hospital he can be home with his family.

He experienced a rapid decline in the last few months, he is unable to ambulate or take care of himself, he has been spending a lot of time in and out of the hospital, the medical bills have piled up.Recently they were told it’s now End Stage Liver Disease and without a new liver the odds aren’t in his favor. She has tried her best to handle everything up until this point but as he is put on more and more medications and I have to miss more and more work, it’s become just about impossible. Joel has several appointments he needs to be taken to, and times where he just can not be left alone, which means Maria has to to often choose between Joel’s health, and work. Joel has made his decision and wants to be home if/when his time comes.

I have known Maria for over 10 years and has never asked for help. She would give you her last dollar if needed. I see my friend drowning and it breaks my heart. Any amount would help greatly.
