The Dakota Rogers Project, park for humans & dogs
Donation protected
Empowering hope, friendship, and kindness, by building a park for humans and their dogs unique and inviting unlike any other.
On October 16, 2022, Dakota Rogers, 18, tragically lost his life to senseless gun violence. His friend was left paralyzed and countless lives were forever changed. The vision of The Dakota Rogers Project is to build joy out of tragedy.
The proposed is a park unlike any other for humans and their dogs. Imagine a space to promote kindness and friendship, a space where the community can gather and heal. It is going to take the community and all its resources to see this vision become a reality. The wish list includes a permanent 25’ Tree of Life structure as the centerpiece of the park joining small and large dog areas. Much like the community coming together in strength. Unique obstacles, shipping container seating and living graffiti walls for everyone to express themselves and their stories are a few of the distinct features creating a space not only inviting but encompassing the loving, kind and crazy spirit of Dakota Rogers.
Your time, effort and donations (of all kinds) are appreciated more than we can ever express.
